Welcome to my portfolio! Click on the thumbnails or piece titles to see larger images. (Please make sure that any pop-up blockers are turned off). My work ranges from black and white newsletters to fully interactive Director games with a bit of web and other design work thrown in.
Feel free to take a look and come back often to check out my new work as it is posted.
This portfolio is broken down into three sections:
Interactive: Web sites that I have created entirely form top to bottom, or have had a hand in designing or assisting technically.
Multimedia: Pieces designed for online use, either as graphics, games or small Flash movies.
Print: Print collateral have designed and created including illustrations, brochures, business cards, newsletters and Photoshop pieces. NOTE: pieces in this section DO NOT link to larger pieces.

Start-the-Art
Starting as my thesis site, Start-the-Art has become a place for all of my experimental, art-based ideas and digital musings. Video, Flash, digital photography, and other experimental projects live here. Feel free to poke around and check out as many of the projects as you like.
I am currently working on a new design that resides here: start-the-art.com/new.
The Better Butcher Shop
The Better Butcher Shop is a Denver-based company where one can order meat on-line, or from door-to-door salesmen. I enjoyed creating the clean layout and function of the site, in addition to digitally coloring their logo.
Product HQ
An internal sales site for Avnet Technology Solutions sales and field employees. Created as a traditional site, I duplicated it in Share Point (as seen here) so our internal sales team would not have to log in to the secure site (created for external users).
FESWeb.com
This was a venture I was in that was to revolutionize the food equipment and service industry. Unfortunately, it never saw the light of day. This demo site has functionality in clicking the "About FESWeb.com" links the home page.

Avnet Sales Scoreboard
A daily scoreboard of sales numbers and successes for the local sales team of Avnet. Updated daily for the final month of
the quarter, I created the scoreboard with a baseball theme (for spring training) and designed the Westmoor Warriors logo to have a Major League feel to it.
Symantec and Relational Technology Solutions E-mail Invitation
Created for Avnet partners for an event in Florida, an internal Field Marketing Manager was given an outline for this invitation and not much more. I was asked if I could make a "pretty" HTML invitation; this is the result. The positive response by Symantec and RTS was good enough for them to request me specifically for subsequent invitations.
Avnet Emcee Search Banner
Created for an HTML e-mail detailing the search for an internal emcee for corporate events, this banner was created with an American Idol theme (the body text was in the AI font). After this banner was created, executives received their own personal banners for corporate HTML e-mail communications.
The American Dream
Reflecting society's want of something for nothing, this Macromedia Director game was created in grad school and continues to amuse and frustrate friends. The object is to use the cross hair to collect as much money as you can without collecting the trash (which reduces your score). Fun for all, you will need the Shockwave plug in to play the game.
Trust
A Flash business card based on the word Trust. An assignment I give my students, was given to me as a student and works as an example of timeline-based Flash. I am currently teaching myself Action Script that will allow more dynamic design of my Flash work.

FESWeb.com Brochure
Interior of the sales/promotional brochure for FESWeb.com. Layout, design, graphics, and proofing were all on my shoulders. It was a nice piece with a fifth color, silver cover.
FESWeb Collateral
Aside from the brochure, I created the letter head and business cards for FESWeb.com. The grey piece to the right is actually the metallic silver cover of the brochure.
Aamazing Fantasy Comics Newsletter
I collected comics for a time and noticed that my shop had a rather meager newsletter. I offered to spice it up and ended up with a monthly gig for about two years. I did a couple of different designs during that time, and ended up swapping the newsletter for the cost of my books.
Steel Skeleton Logo
I did this logo for a friend who needed a publishing company for his band's songs. Done in the old school of pen and ink with press type... Does anyone remember press type?
John's Apocalypse
A Photoshop piece done for a final project. One of the only pieces I have done that I still enjoy looking at. A guy I used to know calls it the only piece of real art I have done.
El Mano de Dios
The Hand of God, named for an old Soundgarden song, translated in Spanish. Initially was to be part of a four-part piece that would fit together as one, as well as stand alone individually. I was using the Four Horsemen as my subject matter until my wife suggested trying something a little less "dark." This is the result of my "lighter side."
Shane
This piece is pastel on matte board, measures 40"x60" and lives with my sister in Aurora, Colorado. When I was in art school, I shied away from pastels, literal colors, and large pieces. Luck would have it that one of my professors would have us do a final confronting all of our artistic fears all at once. The subject matter was one of those weird things that seemed to pop out of a fitness magazine that I was reading at the time of the assignment.
Sun & Moon, Father & Son
An illustration that is now tattooed on my sister. This is the culmination of the Sun that my father did in the early 70s, and the Moon that I did initially as a scrimshaw on a powder horn.
Peace
A Photoshop study with some interesting, experimental things going on.
Technoid
Another Photoshop study coloring a black and white original. I took the add from an old Wired magazine, removed the text ("Like H.G. Wells on Acid" was the tag), and went to town. For whatever reason, this one still bothers a few folks when they see it.
